Dr. Elisabeth Glowatzkiis a Professor of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, and Neuroscience, at The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Kauserslautern in Germany. She joined Johns Hopkins in 2000, where she focuses her research on understanding the first steps in the auditory and vestibular pathways.Her research interests are: Auditory nerve fiber physiology and function; Physiology and function of efferent feedback to the inner ear; Development of inner ear function; Cellular physiology and function of the vestibular system; Symaptic transmission in the mammalian inner ear.
